Total production of paddy in the Hulu Sungai Utara Regency throughout 2014 reached 157.9 thousand tons. Babirik a subdistrict with the largest total harvest of around 23.4 tonnes. While Paminggir into subdistricts with the smallest production of around 70 tonnes.

The total area of rice planting in the Hulu Sungai Utara Regency reached 24,995 hectares. Subdistricts with the largest rice planting area districts with extensive Babirik Plant Achieves 4,236 Ha. For Subdistricts with the smallest acreage is Paminggir districts which only 13 hectares. This makes the percentage of rice planting area subdistricts Paminggir almost 0%.
