The Population Census is a national activity carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) based on the mandate of Law Number 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics and in line with the recommendations of the United Nations (UN). The series of SP2020 activities are divided into two stages, namely population data collection in 2020 and then continued with sample census data collection in 2022, hereinafter referred to as SP2020 Long Form data collection.

The Covid-19 pandemic, which is not yet known when it will end, has forced BPS to postpone the SP2020 Long Form data collection which was originally planned in 2021 to 2022. In the context of preparing the Long Form data collection in 2022, to strengthen the sample frame and update the prelist that is already available, the SP2020 results are necessary. pre-update activities. This activity is also designed to be able to provide input on the implementation of the Agricultural Census and other surveys.

The Pre-Update of Long Form SP2020 will be carried out from October 17 to October 31, 2021. The following table presents a list of Pre-Updating Long Form SP2020 officers in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency.
