Abstract

In August 2013, the Farmers Exchange (NTP) South Kalimantan recorded 104.07, down 1.18 per cent in July 2013 compared to NTP to reach 105.32. NTP decline is due to the index of prices received by farmers (It) has increased by 0.33 percent, while the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) experienced a larger increase is 1.52 percent.

Judging from the sub-sectors, four agricultural subsectors decreased NTP and the NTP subsector increased. Crop sub-sector fell by 1.55 percent, Horticulture sub-sector fell by 1.15 percent, Livestock sub-sector fell 0.61 percent, and fisheries sub-sector fell by 1.06 percent. Meanwhile Smallholder Crop sub-sector grew by 0.03 percent.

The rise in consumer price index for rural households showed an inflation of 1.90 percent in rural areas due to the increase in the index of a subgroup of foodstuff by 2.98 percent, so the food subgroup rose by 0.20 percent, housing subgroup rose by 0.19 percent, subgroup clothing rose by 1.59 per cent, health subgroup rose by 0.32 percent, a subgroup of education, recreation and sport increased by 0.06 percent, and transportation and communications subgroup rose by 1.02 percent.

In August 2013, the National, Riau Islands Province highest NTP increased by 1.08 percent, instead of Bengkulu Province highest NTP decreased by 1.58 percent.
