The 2017 Ubinan survey aims to obtain agricultural data. Specifically the data collected are productivity, land type, planting method, seed varieties, the number of seeds and fertilizers used, pest control and others.

In Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, the 2017 Ubinan Survey includes selected households as samples spread over 10 Districts. Activity begins with updating selected census blocks to obtain eligible households for sampling.

Implementation of the 2017 tile survey takes place every subround, January-April, May-August and September-December.
